Has anyone used the hell Creek lift springs for a post suspension truck? Where do you get new shackle bushings and u bolts for the front end. Mines got the weird angled u bolts. If I am correct the kit is just springs.

Pretty sure the kit includes bushings and u-bolts. I suggest you call them to verify. You do have to tell them the size of your bushings, as more than one size was used.

I'll do that, it shows the springs only in the pic, but for the price they should at least come with bushings. I've checked rear post size as well as rear spring length.

My 1975 has the post mounts as well. I ordered my 4 inch lift kit from Hell Creek. My springs had the bushings installed in them when I received them, along with u-bolts. I ordered everything from them to include the shocks, drop pitman arm, extended brake lines, everything needed to install the kit. Very happy with all of it. That was about 7-8 years ago.

I currently have the HC 4" kit. Springs come with the bushings. As far as early front shackle replacement bushings for the 7/8" posts, good luck finding those. Maybe the 1" post trucks are easier, I don't know. If you somehow find replacement bushings for the 7/8 front shackles let me know. I have yet to find a source for them

Do you have a pic of your 4'' lift with 35's?

How's the ride? I'm on 33s and it rides better than any other front leaf setup I've been in, the rear is stiff as a board. I'm going to see what I can figure out for the front shackle bushings course mine look shot. There is a local spring shop I might try.

I am not going to say it rides bad because my shackle bushings are completely shot. My front is still incredibly stiff all these years later but it also doesn't get driven much. The rear is bouncy and has been since day one. I don't hate it but I would prefer stock or less lift. I run 35x12.50s and it clears everything clean without any trimming but I also have a 1 inch body lift. My front suspension layout is currently stock (original shackles to the front of the spring), the rear is actually about 6.5" of lift because I am using 88-98 C10 rear shackle brackets and XJ shackles from Iron Rock Offroad. With about 500lbs of stuff in the back the truck sits level. The front has absolutely no flex whatsoever on this thing except side to side due to worn shackle bushings, the rear flexes crazy for a leaf setup. Ultimate goal for me at least is go with coils and long arms eventually up front if I decide to be brave enough to press that "click to buy" button on all of my saved web page parts order forms. Its gonna take alot of beers before I get the spine to pull the trigger on those one night though lol

Dang that sucks, I don't know if you've ever been in a cj5 but my 79 rode so bad (stock springs) it's one of the reasons I got rid of it. If I spend the money on the lift and it rides like my cj5 did I might spaz. But it'll look so much cooler. Another reason I want the lift is ground clearance especially for mud holes and water crossings. What do you think about say 2 inch blocks all around?

I am the anti-block. All spring lift or stock. If you want clearance the 4" Hell Creek lift and 35s will give you more than enough.

At the moment Rancho RS5000s but they are pretty much useless.

I don't remember. They weren't for the truck/lift combo per say. I called rancho and gave them my front and rear eye to eye measurements at full drop and full stuff and they told me which ones to order
