Engine temp

Post by dddonkey »

Hello,

Still figuring out my 'New to Me' jeep and am wonder what the coolant temp should be running down the highway. My Jeep has the 401 in it, and runs around 201 to 207 degrees on the highway and around 197-201 degrees in the city (stop and go traffic). Does this sound normal? The jeep does have a new water pump, 180 degree thermostat, heater core, radiator, and hoses with the mechanical fan and fan shroud. For reference this is driving around in 96-106 degree weather.

Thank for any Information and help.

Yes that is perfectly normal
The bus I ride is so short it is a yellow Smart Car full of squirrels, monkeys and clowns.
