Is this the biggest rivet I’ve ever seen? I don’t have anything close, much less a rivet gun that would hold it!Image

Trying to replace the mangeled bumper bracket Image

Now gotta fix this.Image

I should know that there is no “quick job”. Was just whipping this out before doing fuel sending unit.Image

Gotta remember I do this for fun ? ! ? !

I used stainless screws in replacement of those rivets.

I'd pound-out / fix those bumper mount brackets. They're basic and is a lot faster than looking for good replacements.

You might consider stainless steel rivet nuts. They’re larger. I’m planning to use those in blind boxes where I need to put a bumper mounting bolt. Drill hole, insert rivet nut.

Looks like a 1/4” rivet. You should still be able to get the tool for it at Harbor Freight or Northern Tool. I’ve had one for 30yrs, used to use it for putting the window motors back in Fords. Used it recently to fix the door on my mail box.

Got some big rivets and borrowed the gun, on to some rust treatment, put bumper on then work on the fuel sending unit!
