There is a '79 TSM free to read and download on that site. That's the shop manual. Not sure what you mean by an "assembly manual." I'd expect there does not exist the kind of documentation and parts support that you might find for the popular old passenger cars.
You mean the factory parts book? You can buy a print copy that covers 1979 from BJs. https://www.bjsoffroad.com/1974-1980-Je ... _1043.html They will give you a modest discount as a member of this forum. May also be available on CD-ROM at RockAuto or Faxon.
The parts books on the Tom Collins site (see Stuka's post) do not cover 1979. '62-73, or '81-up only, AFAIK.

I have never seen an assembly manual for any Jeep. We even have people here that worked in the Jeep/AMC factory, and I have not seen them mention such a thing.
But we do have TSM's, which show how to replace/rebuild just about everything.
