tailgate body side fascia trim pieces

Post by alex t »

I'm restoring a 1987 jeep grand wagoneer and have been unable to locate the two black plastic pieces that are exposed once the tailgate is open and seem to cover the area that the two tailgate brackets are attached to the side of the body. I have attached a generic picture with the piece circled. I am looking for an after market manufacturer a clean used set or an alternative solution. thanks guys

Unlikely it's made aftermarket. If it's not offered at BJ's or TGW, it's not available. The alternative is used or NOS, if you can find it. Look at the parts catalogs at the Tom Collins site and try to locate a part number, then search for NOS. Or check with the Jeep junkyards.
