instrument panel mystery light

Post by alex t »

hey guys, I have a 1987 grand wagoneer and just to the right of the green 4WD light is this 4 LOCK light that I was wondering what it was for and what activates it. found nothing in the owners or shop manual?

It’s just there, not connected. If you check schematics in TSM you’d see that there is empty socket on round instrument cluster connector.

I was planning to use it as indication for when cruise control is engaged once I install DD cruise module

So you're saying 4 LOCK means nothing. Perhaps it was reserved for the future. Just odd I guess. Thanks.
