GW - Steering Column Lock Plate & Cover

Post by killerinstinct »

Hi All,

Long story short my steering column is missing some parts and I believe that's why my horn does not work properly. Can someone please confirm if this is the correct steering column lock plate for an 86 Wagoneer? I'm pretty sure 80-91 would fit. BJ's and TGW don't have it.

Also I'm pretty sure these were common GM parts, but I've seen several different versions online. anyone happen to know where I can find one at a decent price? eBay/Amazon prices are $30-$40 seems awfully high.

Used would be fine as well. Oh and by the way is the lock plate covers all the same? I'm missing that as well.

Thanks in advance,
Cesar

This is an 87 GW. The plastic alignment piece in this picture is broken off (fixed later).Image

Thanks Guys! I was able to find the correct parts I was missing from Brandon over at https://www.facebook.com/Redskustomcolumns/
He gave me a fair deal. In case anyone needs anything for their column in the future, he's a cool guy and has been rebuilding AMC, GM, JEEP columns for 25+ years.
