1990 GW 4WD indicator

I’m trying to figure out whether this wire needs to be hot or is a ground. The wire I’m talking about is the straight black wire for the 4WD indicator switch. The wire use to go from the switch on the transfer case to the carb bowl vent solenoid. It still goes to the transfer case but the PO scrapped anything and everything emissions so now I got a loose wire. Looking and the diagrams it seems like it would be a hot wire but the black color makes me wonder if it’s a ground. Anyone know?

Pretty much I guess what I’m asking for the carb bowl vent solenoid is the orange wire positive and the black wire ground?

Solved my own problem black wire is ground, yellow and black is positive
