Rear Window Slider Latch Replacement

Post by Dr.Bob »

I just replaced the broken slider-latch on the rear window of my 1987 J-20 with a C.R. Laurence DVL2 metal latch;

it fit great, and was easy to install.

I added a short video to my channel documenting the replacement (I also speeded up the drilling, as that's a tedious thing in person, never mind on the screen...):

I hope someone will find it useful.

While not super short, its nice and informative. Thanks for posting it.

:lol:

Yeah, I guess 16 minutes isn't *super* short, but it was just about real-time for the repair (it actually took about 21 minutes, start to finish).

But 20-minutes and $10, and you too can have a window-slider latch that is not going to break again (in the near future).
