I just bought a 90 FSJ and noticed there is no spare tire or brace. What other wheels fit the FSJ? I am not concerned about getting a matching rim, I just need to have a spare in case I need it. Any input is appreciated.
A 90 FSJ with the stock 6 lug hubs will take any 6 on 5.5 wheel from a 74 and up FSJ. You can also use GM 6 lug wheels from the late 70s through the late 80s. Toyota 6 lug wheels from the 80s will also fit but might need a different style lug not - not sure. For the brace, I think you're talking about the steel arm that holds the spare tire under the rear floor, correct? Post up in the Wanted section. I'm sure someone has one they can sell and ship to you.

Probably just as easy to find a GW wheel and tire. What's your location? You can put that and your vehicle info in your signature file and it will appear with every post. Post in the want ads section here and at IFSJA and someone local may have one for you. Buying parts private party will be way cheaper than from a commercial seller. Or try car-part.com and find a wheel and tire in a local yard.

The original spare would have been a 15x6 white steel rim. The factory aluminum wheels are 15x7. I think I would be looking for the latter. Expect to pay around $35 to have one shipped.

The 90s spare never had matching rims anyway. The spare they give you from factory is some basic full sized steel wheel. I had the original under my waggy. Original tire too lol holds air as well hah.. rim is a bit rusted with surface rust though. I took my space and bracket to hold it off so i could work on the Jeep better.
I guess i should probably mount it back on huh ? I just dont like spares under a car. Ive always wanted to cut out the floor in the back and weld a deep storage like bin that would make use of all that empty space

IIRC somebody made up a system based on a ford pick up with a cranking system to alleviate the challenge of hoisting the wheel inside the undercarriage location
