Tailgate End Cap

Hi, I'm new to the forum and just acquired a new-to-me FSJ. Which I keep manage on breaking. Most recently on the list of things I've broken is this tailgate end cap. Is there anywhere I can find a replacement for this? I managed to find the part number but of course it's not made any more. Is my only option going to be a junkyard or perhaps 3d printing one. The part number it J5452497 if that helps any.

Mine seem to be ABS meaning they can be effectively repaired by solvent welding. You could try ABS plumbing cement or find some solvent intended for this. It'll be clear without the dissolved resins you find in the plumbing stuff. Does a better appearing job.

If you have access to a MakerBot level printer, that would be an excellent solution. There must be services that will make parts to your CAD drawing. It's likely something that you could sell, if you made a bunch of them.

There are Jeep specific and at least one FSJ-specific junkyards, so used is not out of the question.

The #fsjtailgateendcap for full size jeep 64-91 is built and ready to be assembled. For secure we add 2 additionals rivets into the kit 4 in total.
200 sets need be assembled this week.
