360 Head Swappability

Post by sloppyjoe »

Yeah I don't think that's a word either, but it worked. Anyway, I want to get some heads and have them rebuilt to replace my stock heads. I have seen "the head table" and, from what I can tell, the heads are identical for a wide range of years around mine, seems like 74-84 are the same. So, can I swap any of the head castings listed onto my block? My Jeep is a 1976 Cherokee S with the 360.

Bridged versus individual rockers should cover it but some later heads have 2 different size holes for the exhaust manifold bolts.
