Kick down linkage question

Post by SparkyB »

I'm getting very close to having the wagoneer on the road again thanks to perusing thread after thread of info. One thing I've noticed I don't have is part of the kick down linkage. In the picture it's part #4 where the thumb is. Is it a plastic washer/spacer? Can something be substituted in its place? Image

Yes, I rigged something up so that it slides on there. BTW, it's not a kick down, its a TV. Adjustment is important.

Yeah I just searched tv linkage and saw some more pics but nothing specifically like I wanted. I assume it glides freely like a roller almost? Maybe a nylon spacer could go in the middle with a washer on each side? Small bolt to thru the carb linkage to hold it in place?

If I recall correctly, the linkage was held onto the throttle shaft with a clip and two metal washers.

I have a complete linkage that I took off my 360/727 a while back. It's just sitting there not being used. If you want it, I can get it to you for the cost of shipping and a couple of bucks.

If you can't fix it with a hammer or duct tape you have an electrical problem.
