As fan as pressures go... I'm running a decent used timing cover, bulltears melling oil pump gears, and their external filter endplate without the little steel sandwich they sell to go between the pump and endplate. I have half inch ID copper tubing in straight runs between the filter plate included in bulltears kit. I use Delo 10w30 part synthetic with a Napa platinum filter.

At cold idle, I see 40-60 psi depending on external temperatures.
Cold cruise I see a consistent 60.
Hot idle is mid to low 40's.
Hot cruise is 40-50.
Hot and above 3000 rpm I see 50-60 pounds.
Heat soaked, running it hard for hours on a 98 degree day with the temp gauge the highest I've seen it, I had it down to the low 30's at idle. Oil temperature at the filter that day was 212.

I could go to a thicker oil and get better pressures when heat soaked, but thicker oil won't flow as well. Greater pressures also put more stress on the distributor gear.

So it looks like the later pan narrows in width at the arrow labeled “A” to the back of the pan, and I’m guessing the clearance marked “B” is for the diff.
