Low range option?

Post by uncletiffy »

I read that quadratrac came with an optional low range.

If I wanted low range what would I have to do?

Buy a low range unit and shift linkage or cable shifter. Remove back cover of transfer case. Bolt on low range unit. Install factory shift linkage (paddle shifter on floor) or cable to dash. Fill with special QT juice and drive.

NB there is no room for low range with the 258 inline 6, due to fuel tank interference.

Just spoke with the PO, the Chief already has the low range and it works,

Happy camper :-)

Shippers should be picking it up this weekend to transport from NY to FLA, then on to The Bahamas.
