I've only seen one recovered and it look great for a recover. I sold off three pads to a guy who wants to try to re-pop them. Mostly, though, nothing beats OEM replacement for me. So finding one in near mint conduction was a lucky break. Maybe I am some kind of jeep whisperer! Hahahaha.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, too. I did call the cement guy who did the finish work and he said it's unusual, but it'll eventually stop. I haven't noticed it lately. I am curious if it's somehow a rain -related thing.

Good luck on the replacement. I was given similar options but will stick with injections as long as I can. The science just doesn't seem to be there yet for a successful back treatment. Fusion is horrible. Can't say much about replacing a disc but good luck!

This whole neck thing s a rock and a hard place kind of thing. Everyone knows someone who's had the problem and every outcome is different for everyone of them, too. Outcomes range from limited mobility, permanent disability, to climbing Machu Pichu and Mt. Kilimanjaro.
I'm just hoping for the best possible outcome for me. I think no matter what I opt for, I'll need the best of luck. Hahaha, thanks!

Yeah, it sure seems to be the crap shoot. Hopefully you have a skilled civilian DR and not one of the VA sawbones. I'm not comfortable in letting them "try" and fix me. The back injections seem to help (usually) and are not something I can become addicted to or forget to take. If they figure out a real, successful fix, I'll look into it. Until then I'll just grit my teeth and live with the injectons.

According to Mud89, it is an early Super. I have the medial ok for steroid injections for my neck and back, so I'm trying to get everything in order before I go under the knife in late summer, early fall. The injections are to delay the inevitable.

Yeah, I thought about getting the column, but since this isn't a restoration and my pockets only go so deep, I'll probably install a mod'd tilt column from a later model Grand/j truck like I did in the 66.
Ask 64wagoneer (Justin) what the name of the after market column is he bought. 2" auto shift on column with tilt. The splines for the wheel are different but you can cut and tig on the right spline from a Jeep and use the Jeep wheel.

I snagged a running 66 Thriftside with the 327, t90, Dana 20 combo as the drivetrain for the 65 Super. A neighbor (a professional mechanic) is rebuilding the Ford 2bbl carb for me. The body is hammered fun on a stick, but the drivetrain is what I'm after.
Weirdly enough it has the four light 4wd set up on it.
Even the T Case has two top switches on top of the t case. I haven't seen too many set up this way.
