Propose Cherry Creek Rd, AZ in March

I've always wanted to explore the Sierra Ancha's and I think this would be a great trip for all levels of FSJ's. There are several ruins and cliff dwellings in this area that could be explored. I'm itching to get my truck on a trail, but don't want to beat it up on Florence level trails. This area looks ideal, and has an abundance of scenery with a moderate level of wheeling is some places.

My February is pretty booked, so I was thinking on gathering interest for something in March.

It's off of 188, just east of Roosevelt Lake, between Globe and Young.

I will be trying really REALLY hard to be up by then and hopefully no exams to deal with.

It would probably require camping for some, maybe optional for others. Do some interweb research on Cherry Creek Rd and Sierra Ancha Mtns and you'll see that it is a stunningly beautiful area with a lot to see.

It does look nice.
My place in Tucson to Young is about 190 miles, so probably a bit more than 200 doing Cherry Creek.
Only conflict I see in March is the 7th, Em's birthday, but if it involved being in a tent she would probably go for it.

I don't see anywhere that this is a tough trail?
If it's not I would probably just bring the Q.

Still thinking I'd like to do this in March, but March is approaching pretty quick. Kind of waiting on my wife to decide what she wants to do for her birthday, which is 3/11. Anyone want to throw a date out there?

Are we planning on setting up camp early or the end of the day?
