The 26th is three weeks away?
The wedding isn't for another 2 weeks after the 26th is what I was getting at.
Well it ain't just the smoke and the traffic jam that makes me the bitter fool I am But this four-wheel buggy is A-dollaring me to death.
For gas and oils and fluids and grease, And wires and tires and anti freeze....And them accessories, Well honey, that's something else.
Assuming the brake booster cures my braking ills I will bring the Cherokee down. There's a trail up by colfax that I was looking at too. Basically a dirt road through some pretty area but a "trail" none the less.

The wedding is after the meetup. 2nd weekend in May is wedding. Last weekend in April is meetup.

Well the booster went in great! Unfortunately while installing it I discovered brake fluid leaking all out the back of the master. Grrrr.....
Oh well, Rock Auto had a brand new one for me so that should be here tuesday. If I get the fence done over the weekend I should have time to get the new master in next week, bleed the brakes, and presto? Maybe?

You don't need no steenking brakes! You has Bumpers!
Yeah, those GM masters die from sitting alot and moisture causing rust in the bores. RockAuto=Cheap n quick fix.
Lesson I learned years ago: If the booster dies, it's usually the diaphragm weakened by brake fluid seeping in from a leaking master.
Like GI Joe says: Knowing is half the battle.

Bleeding the brakes and installing a new MC is a 20 minute process. You know how to get a Hole of me if you need a hand (or a foot in the case of brake bleeding lol)
I normally just make my woman pump the pedal

Got the new master in, will bleed the brakes tomorrow. Then track down an oil pressure sending unit. The only oil leak is from there. Not sure if teflon tape will cure it but oil actively leaks from the base of the sending unit. More than I'm willing to accept anyway...
In actual Meet-Up news, I thought if we head down to Colfax there is a nice road to drive then hit up lunch in old town:
Sounds good.
Those who might be going south or west after the meet can take Hwy 49 over to Placerville. For those adventurer types, the Mosquito Ridge road is a twisty scenic route featuring narrow road and steep hillsides. It eventually comes out in Placerville as well.

Got the QT back in and road tested
Going through brakes, wheel bearings and sort out the slow fueling problem over the next few days.
Looking forward to the meet-up.

I've currently got 4 open seats in the wag if you want to meet up without your truck.
