Hey MarkPribanic,

I really like the Waggy. I'm in the same boat as you... my GW is the first domestic vehicle I've ever owned. And, like you, I am really liking its distinct "American" feel. Congratulations on a clean ride and keep the pictures coming!

Unfortunately there are a bunch of us looking. :banghead:

The only thing on the market is the generic Crown replacement, and most guys are only getting 50-60000 out of them with normal driving.

Went to look at some whs/studio space this afternoon and took a moment to snap a pic.

When I got back my Dutch Chandler tag frame, that I bought on ebay, was sitting on my desk. This is the dealership that my Jeep was sold at in Sanger, California

Beautiful Wag, man...love that color and the earlier trim on the tailgate. I also was fortunate enough to find a dealership name for the place my Jeep was originally bought in 73. I don't have a window sticker or build sheet but I do have that same white folder/document with the green type that yours came with. Very cool!

Had some more fun cruising in the '73 this weekend. Took the kiddo's to my monthly Porsche 356 brekkie, then southwest to Keystone Heights for their monthly vintage plane and car event to meet up with a friend. Then drove SE to the coast to Flagler Beach and north through St. Augustine & Ponte Vedra Beach to home. Had a great time putting the tailgate to proper use stopping along A1A for an afternoon snack.

Hi Mark!

My bestie is searching for the VW Bus of her dreams. It sounds like you're an expert: "I've owned over 20+ pre 1967 VW buses and currently own a 1958 Porsche 356, 1958 VW bus, & a 1960 VW Karmann Ghia."

Is there a way she can contact you (outside of this forum - say via email) for some bus hunting tips?

Just let me know.

Thanks so much!

Very nice waggy. Nice to see pics of trips, kind of like being there. I've done the A1A cruise with my J20 a few years back. My Mom lives just south of Daytona in Port Orange.
Here it is on the beach in Daytona. It has since been totaled and going away piece by piece.

Been away a few weeks & been busy putting miles on the Jeep. Just rolled 3k miles in the past 5 or six weeks.

Anywhoo, I was browsing my Instagram photo's and came across three images that I took of the Waggy with previous owner driving. This was back in February 2013 and the first month it appeared in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to 2.2013 it was in NorCal its whole life. I'd been bird dogging the Jeep since the day these pics were taken.

A couple of weeks ago took a little cruise to investigate the FORD factory from the early 1920's.

Later that day took her over to a friends house to show him the Jeep and noticed the radiator hose about to blow! Yikes! Went to the car parts store and bought a new thermostat and hose for less than $20. Stoked how affordable the Jeep is. A few months ago spent over $200 for my BMW.

this may seem a silly question, whats the metal bar on the tailgate for?

Sure is a pretty Jeep, great find :)
