Tomorrow is June 1st. That means we are close! And tomorrow is Sunday, which is when I will arrive in Ouray.

I have 3 weeks and one day left to work, a day at home packing and then we hit the road! Should be there on the 13th. Actually looking at my days off, I only have another 13 days of work to go

Have been putting off several small details that need attention on my rig for Ouray and late this past weekend I decided to strip off the rotten vinyl top....where I found a significant amount of rust around the roof rack holes and all along the drip rails. In other news the paint underneath actually looks really good once you fight through ridiculous amount of goo/glue/foam under the vinyl. This is definitely going to eat a huge chunk of my free time getting it right before Ouray, but I can't take the old girl to her inaugural trip to Ouray looking like a skank. . Had to Silicone and plug all of the holes on the roof. Hoping to get all of the glue off during the evenings this week so I can build the patch panels for the rust areas and weld them in this weekend. It may not look great when I'm done, but it'll definitely look better than it did with the vinyl. Still need to figure out how I'm going to drag a few extra parts to sell/barter along with all the camping gear. I have a stock brush guard, TAD roof rack, OEM transmission cooler, and 1 or 2 other doo-dads I'm looking to off load if anyone is interested. Let the countdown continue!

17 days till I arrive! 21 days and the Invasion will be in full swing.

Still waiting to get my Jeep back. Hopefully it will be ready next week.

8 days of work to go! 15 days until we hit the road. Feeling excited and a little anxious about the long trip, for some reason the idea of it all has me kind of worried this year. Well, carpe diem, right??

once you get there it will all be good! Plus you are an early arrival so we have plenty of time to get into the Ouray 'groove'. I am really looking forward to it.

Me too!! Missing last year was painful. If I can just get over worrying about what problems might come up I'll be all good. Once we get there- it'll be all good! We have a plan mapped out and hopefully will be rolling in before dinnertime on Sunday.

I think the sense of relief I'll feel when we cross the line into Ouray county will rival that of 2010 when we arrived fresh off of zero sleep and with 1 brain cell remaining between Bryan and me, which we were sharing Also just like other years I will be ready for a tall cold beer when we arrive.

Worst case, you come anyway! You can always find an empty seat and enjoy the scenery and the company! But I feel your pain, we finished the Explorer (complete with missing parts that is) and pulled it out of our friend's shop at around 6 pm, on the day we were supposed to be on the road to Ouray at 8 in the morning. Whooo hoooo! He did some of the work, and Bryan and I did some so it was shared blame.
