After doing research and looking over Tad's website, the great feedback etc. I will be taking the plunge and going the SOA route. Here's my simple question. I know Tad's rear shackle flip kit equal's to a 7" inch lift to accommodate the front. But I read on Fourwheeler's website concerning the rear and that has me thinking.
While it would be easier to do the D.I.Y rear shackle flip. Would it equate to the needed lift for the rear?
By unbolting the shocks and drooping the suspension you can use a large prybar to flip the shackle around and down for about 3 inches of lift. It made the truck sit level, it's inexpensive (free), and easy. The pinion angle is a little off but not bad enough to do anything about it just yet.
You don't have that type of shackle mount on the rear of your '77.
The post mount rear suspension stops in '75.
You have a box style hanger back there.
Many of us have done that on our post mount rigs.
Like the article stated, it works but it's off a bit in both pinion angle and it pushes the axle a little forward.
