Well I guess "the Gods must be crazy" again, someone trying to rain on our parade. Still in now I just have to figure out the water proofing elements I have to bring for five.

It will be great to see everyone. We sure missed you and Dave last year Dusty. :) Krista got off early and started some chores to get ready. I was about 4 miles from my shop when I got a distress call that she was taking Luna to the vet. Luna... screeching... pain... hot neck and back, broken signal, stressed voice... How did I even get the call where I was at??? I hot footed it out of the park in the KIA and met her and Luna at the vet. Turns out she has an ugly tumor at the base of her tail just above the anus. Dayum. And seems to be some arthritis flaring up with this wet winter storm. Old Geezer she is. We got some drugs for her and came home to pack. We have lots of dog blankets stacked up for Luna to be comfy on the trip. What else? Got my annual review today and it looked pretty good. Been a crazy busy year with the new visitor center opening at the park and all. No money in it but I am still in good standing so whatahey. I gotta have a Blue Moon before I go further. The ponchos are all rotten and tossed in the trash, sigh. Guess we will pick up some tourist ponchos on the trip.

Next report before we bail out of winter wonderland. We will likely get a few inches of white stuff tonight and the mountains in SW CO are getting hammered now.

Who really cares if it is the real family, just bring one with you.

Jeff we also have you both in our prayers and still optimistic that you both will be able to still make it.

So what is the schedule like? I'm guessing it's loose. But since I have the family, I have to at least plan a bit for my wife's sanity. For example, if we get to McDonald's at 9, do we have time to grab breakfast? Is there wheeling on Saturday? Sunday? What time do people generally leave?

Also, we are getting slammed with rain and lightening that I swear hit our neighbors house it was so close...

Pretty easy, breakfast at the arches. Usually someone takes off for spin while the major part of the dinner is prepared. No set plans if I can ever recall just be back before dinner because there are some eaters out there. Most of what happens happen around the fire.

Thanks everyone. They are jacking her full of steroids to get the swelling in her lungs to go down. So far it's working.e might get to come home today. She might get to come home today. Yesterday she said maybe we can still make it. But I know she said that just because she knows how bad I want to. Realisticlly it's not a good idea. Yesterday they did finally move her to a room with a window. So I just stand there listening to her and staring out the window. What a view.

Jeff, we understand you not making it. And our Thoughts and Prayer are with you both.

Salamander, we all would like to meet you and your family, but if you are leaving Sunday
morning and have everything with you you better keep head North. Sorry we are going

So is the rain going to be a bummer?

Like will anyone NOT come if it is kinda wet out side?
We are getting a LOT of snow up here, and just looked at the forecast for Florence. She seams like she is getting kinda wet out there :(

We are still planning on coming. So there will at least be 8 of us there :)

Edit: man, just looked at radar. It's like the gulf of ca is a rain machine, just pumping it up at us. Sheesh. More rain than we've had all year. Combined maybe.

Well I will be going still. My youngest started having a rough cough so Starr let me know that if the weather keeps up like this and tonight the little on continues like last, her and the kids will be staying home. Sucks but I would rather not have her on the hospital on Sunday.

Watching it loop from NOAA.
The area we camp in started to get pounded at about 12:15 Tucson time.
