Dodge Cummins

Post by Gumby »

For anyone that has one.... just a heads up if you are not yet aware. I have an 04.5 and just found out that the fuel line on the #4 fuel line "WILL" fail. I was stranded and towed home. It was an easy fix but if it had happened on the to or from Ouray it could have been pretty ugly.

That fuel line is not too cheap from the dealer, the only other place I know that sells it is Geno's garage. There was no indicators as to the impending failure. No clatter, no smoke, no gauge nor idiot lights so look out for it or just carry a spare.

Just a heads up like I said, I know there is one more out there with the similar 5.9 CRD.... Jerry  . Check the hold down clamp to see if it is coming loos from the line, not the head.
