I wasn't so enthused about this one having a roof rack and spoiler but it's growing on me, will probably keep 'em.nc wagoneer wrote:Looks like the new wag was meant to be for the project, since it already has a spoiler
Trying not to waste time. I've pretty much been out in the shop every waking hour (except for work) since I started. The goal is to have it done by spring time. Kind of ambitious but I like it that way.The PIG Smith wrote:Wow Greg! You are not wasting any time! Excellent progress!
I've seen the torker listed 2500-6500 but it really depends on a lot of things. Would I use it on a stock compression low performance motor, no. Would I put it on a 9.5:1 401 with a decent cam and headers, absolutely.jaber wrote:Man that looks sweet.
I acquired an Edel. torquer one manifold, but dont have a clue what I'm going to do to it. Whats the RPM range again?
I've never seen an R4B intake in person. Supposed to be a pretty slick piece for a factory part.fulsizjeep wrote:Beautiful, you will like that manifold. We have an R4B here for a some day 401 project.
This is my first turbo setup. I know not a lot of people do the remote mount but it was really the only way to make it fit and still be serviceable. One of my friends did a remont in the bed of an S10 that worked pretty well. Stock grand national turbo that was about to go to the scrap on a 4.3 with a blow thru carb using a small shot of nitrous to spool it went 11.7 in the 1/4 mile. I'm surprised to hear that you did a bunch of remote mounts. If you've got any pictures or ideas it'd be cool to see them!nester wrote:Fab work looks great. Makes me miss working in a turbo shop. We did a lot of the remote mount setups.
They're the set that BJ's Off Road puts together. I'm pretty impressed with them, especially compared to the other polyurethane mounts on the market.twisted frame wrote:Are those body mount bushings custom made? They look good.
