Looks like the new wag was meant to be for the project, since it already has a spoiler :D

I wasn't so enthused about this one having a roof rack and spoiler but it's growing on me, will probably keep 'em.

Trying not to waste time. I've pretty much been out in the shop every waking hour (except for work) since I started. The goal is to have it done by spring time. Kind of ambitious but I like it that way.

Got a lot more detail work done and have been working on the intake and such. Still cleaning up sooty melty parts to see what I can re-use. Also, good news! My Tilton Super Starter fits with the manifolds (didn't fit with headers) so now I've got my ugly stocker for a spare. The solenoid is a little close to the manifold so I wrapped it. Will see how well it holds up.

Among other things, I got the other intake put on tonight. I had previously modified it with the intention of running fuel injection so I plugged the holes with some core plugs. Also look at the size of that plenum and runner inlets! Way better for forced induction than the Torker I was running.

And an overall picture of the rolling chassis so far. You can see that I've got the S10 steering box installed, oil scavenge pump mounted (behind the turbo), and most of the accessories on the front of the motor. Still need a distributor (two junk ones from the parts store so far) and a new balancer (stock one was about to let go).

Man that looks sweet.

I acquired an Edel. torquer one manifold, but dont have a clue what I'm going to do to it. Whats the RPM range again?

I've seen the torker listed 2500-6500 but it really depends on a lot of things. Would I use it on a stock compression low performance motor, no. Would I put it on a 9.5:1 401 with a decent cam and headers, absolutely.

I've never seen an R4B intake in person. Supposed to be a pretty slick piece for a factory part.

Finished the motor mounts and put some more pieces on. Getting real close to having the rolling chassis done.

This photo shows how far down I moved the mount compared to stock. Also welded in place.

Then sectioned the top off of spare mount.

Painted and motor in place. This is the other side but you get the idea.

Also, picked this little guy up today. AMS 1000 boost controller, should help me get this thing down the track in a controllable manner. I got a screaming deal on it used and it still cost me more than the computer I'm typing this on lol. But I need it to control the power, got to pay to play i guess.

Got a bunch more done over the last week or so that I haven't updated on here. Minus a few things (shock mounts, brake lines) the rolling chassis is complete. Going to be able to start on the body soon.

Hot side piping complete, wrapped, and painted.

The driveshaft goes over the top of the pipe. If you look real closely in a couple of the pictures you can see where I formed the pipe for clearance when the suspension is at full droop.

Front brakes. Rotors are stock, Calipers/pads are '77 Chevy K20, soft lines are '84 Chevy C20. This is the same combo I use on the back, but only with '94 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 front rotors.

Fab work looks great. Makes me miss working in a turbo shop. We did a lot of the remote mount setups.

Are those body mount bushings custom made? They look good.

This is my first turbo setup. I know not a lot of people do the remote mount but it was really the only way to make it fit and still be serviceable. One of my friends did a remont in the bed of an S10 that worked pretty well. Stock grand national turbo that was about to go to the scrap on a 4.3 with a blow thru carb using a small shot of nitrous to spool it went 11.7 in the 1/4 mile. I'm surprised to hear that you did a bunch of remote mounts. If you've got any pictures or ideas it'd be cool to see them!

They're the set that BJ's Off Road puts together. I'm pretty impressed with them, especially compared to the other polyurethane mounts on the market.

Shuffled the cars around in the garage tonight and I couldn't resist some glamor shots of the rolling chassis sitting out in the driveway.

Also finished up the brake lines tonight. Now was a good time to finally put in a line lock and adjustable proportioning valve. And all new brake lines. Not too bad of a job actually.

Also threw the air filter on just because.

Had to take this shot, just looked neat. The new red Jeep is in the stall on the left.

Started tearing into the new Jeep last night. Pretty much ready to pull the body off and start bodywork.
