Weekend Travels

Post by Yeller »

Not exactly FSJ related but was an adventure😎

Made a 1200 mile round trip run to NM for a 4 day weekend, yeah I’m a glutton for my own punishment 😂

On the way home we stopped and found the New Mexico/Texas/Oklahoma location pin. I completely failed at pic taking wheeling some of the best hardcore crawling in the most beautiful setting I’ve ever had the privilege to put rubber on.

I did take pics of the pin🤣🤣

The bus I ride is so short it is a yellow Smart Car full of squirrels, monkeys and clowns.

Lol don't get caught there--one of us might end up with your truck if you have to be bailed out!

There are 2 major differences between new Wranglers and FSJs. FSJs are meant to be both utilitarian and capable, not just capable. FSJs are also rarely initially recognized as Jeeps by the average American.

I really like coming across those geological pins. We have them here for passes, mountain tops, etc.

There’s one in the middle of the road near our house. Rumor is it’s left over from the last land rush, which our property was at that time homesteaded by my best friends great grandparents.

Unfortunately it’s worn enough the stamping is gone. Also not sure how much stock to put into the folklore, many of the other folklore items have not been correct.
