Need some help with my motorcraft 4350

Post by nylajean44 »

Hey so I got a motorcraft 4350 off of a 1977 Lincoln 460 and I’m going to put it on my 1975 j10 360. I’m just curious if you guys know about any internal differences between the two?

Did your J10 have a 4350 stock? The intake for the 4350 is unique to AMC V8s that came with that specific carb.

The only difference I am aware of offhand is the jetting. It is jetted richer for the 460. Oh, I think the linkage is slightly different as the 460 would have come with a C6 behind it which uses a kickdown rod. But if you have a stock 4350 you are replacing, then you can likely hobble together parts between the two. Thats what comes to mind, but its been a lot of years since I have dealt with the 4350 for Jeep or Ford.

Yeah my jtruck came with a 4350 stock, the original one got a crack in it and had some issues so that’s why I bought that one of the 460. I’ll use the original and swap the stuff out. Thanks!
