16 Inch wheels

Post by akguy09 »

I would like to find some narrow 16 inch wheels for my J-10...preferably something I can get from a pick and Pull/Junk yard

any suggestions to what makes and models people have successfully used or would fit? I did a search but the results were slim :-?

Pickings are going to be slim. 88 and newer GM 4x4’s are going to be about it.

88+ GM wheels will not work. The center hole is too small to fit over the hubs. And the solid axle Blazer (up till 91) had 15" wheels.

The only wheels I can think of that work are Toyota. But they are all alloy wheels, not steel. And they are very clearly toyota.

What's the needed center hole diameter? Looking at Summit, there are maybe a dozen different wheels with a ca 4" center hole, the right pattern, and what should be an acceptable back spacing (around 3.5"). Not junkyard cheap, but not thousands of dollars.

Stuka is right…. I forget not everyone has a machine shop in the garage. I often forget some details that just don’t matter to me.

Later model Tacoma, 4 runners and pre 2000 Land Cruiser. And yes they look “Toyota” and typically are alloy and not steel.
