J10 Height is off on the drivers side. Is this normal ?

Post by candymancan »

So my J10 is road worthy now. The rear springs are in. Coil over shocks in the rear. The front springs i left alone but theyre flat. I put the other two coil over shocks on in the front. And it lifted my front end 2 inchs. Impressive lol. But in essence those coil overs are like an add a leaf.

But when i measured the rear. The passenger side rides 21 1/2 inchs. The deivers side 20 1/2 or 20 3/4 almost. So its off 1 inch. Thats a lot. Oddly with the old leaf springs in it was off 1 inch as well. But i chaulked that up to the drivers rear spring having 2 broken leafs and the last two splitting apart from rust.

But nope still off an inch :-/.

Front is the same. 18 1/2 drivers. And 19 passengers.

I checked the rear before i had gas in my tan but i had just mounted it on... and it was still off. But now it has about 10-11 gallons in it.

My wagoneer is like this too. Lower on the drivers side. Than passenger.

Is this just a (fsj thing) Jeep thing. Or what ?

Can you guys with J trucks check yours ? Ima let it settle some.. but i have a feeling ill have to add a small lift block to the drivers side rear
