Rally FSJs

Post by sierrablue »

(has another link to a REALLY good article)

What I read was--somewhere, there is an x-rally FSJ waiting to be rediscovered...anybody have any further information on where these trucks are now? They're so cool, and if you could see what all they did to them and document it...

Thanks guys!

Good read.

Don't know where they might have ended up, but very interesting about racing them in a rally setting.

I can imagine the low center of gravity and AWD would make it a formidable vehicle for this application. I think the article said they were running a 401 which would definitely lend an upper hand compared to the rally cars.

That's awesome!

My dad's done some autocross (Mustangs not FSJs), and that's a lot of fun, but lately I've been liking the rally stuff more and more, and I've been thinking that a stock height FSJ with a Qtrac would be really good for rally--then I found out that they actually did it.

It's not missing, Brian Chuchua's 1984 London to sidney rally jeep, not run, has 6500 miles on it near completely original, and street legal. Currently in se wisconsin.
