Had plans to wire the fan and temp sender today. I over tightened the sender sensor and sheared it off. I was frustrated so I called it a day. Going to go help a friend do his front knucles.
I have not updated this thread in a while. Mostly cause I have my website that I document everything in. It is on IFSJA too but that site is a POS lately. It keeps crashing. You can check out the full build with pics: http://lobie4x4.com/the-jeep/
I have rebuilt the tranny last week. It's been going good. We pulled our 30 ft camper to URE this week and will stay through ECU wknd. Its about 150 miles with no major issues. I do need a new steering box.
Cool beans. Glad you made your goal of attending ECU. :ymapplause: I officially backed out of attending Ouray last week. Oh well, there's next year.
Freakin' IFSJA I'm still trying to figure out how to get in so I can move my build thread over here. I didn't realize there were issues with management over there until I started reading the posts in here.

Yeah, not sure what's up with IFSJA. That's why I originally put my build over here. Then decided I wanted my own web page.
It seems Stuka has his stuff together here. There's just a decade of good info on IFSJA. It's ashame the owner won't hand it off to someone.
Glad you carried over I was watching your build with envy and jealousy. I saw the video of you snapping parts off road. It looked like it preformed well. How did the suspension flex?
1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
6" lift from Rusty's
35" maxxis
Edelbrock carb and intake
.030 over with rv cam
Rhino conversion
Bj's pre-runner bumper
More to come!

Suspension is not bad. The rear has the original leafs. I had to add an add-a-leaf to pull the camper. We road a couple trails yesterday and it was doing good. I've been easy on it cause I need to get the camper home. I try not to do hard stuff. Just makes the back and wallet hurt :-q
Did some work this evening.
UPS came so I got lots of parts. Should keep me busy for a while.
Installed the oil pressure sensor and wired it. Put a new thermostat in.
Worked on the wiring posted above. Should have it done tomorrow. Also painted the cluster. Should have that done tomorrow too. Then I'll plumb the ps and hydro.
Picked up some turn signal indicators and some other stuff to finish the wiring. Dash should turn out good.
Got 2 things checked off the list today. Secure the battery and wire the fan.
Started plumbing the ps and hydr boost. I ordered some reusable fittings and hose so I could make them myself. I thought the gear box pressure port was 3/8" inverted flare but it is actually 7/16". I couldn't finish it today. They don't have a 7/16" fitting and can't find one. Going to have to use the original ans add I splice fitting.
Also installed the tach sender. It reads off the damper with two magnets adjacent to each other. Similar to a reluctor ring in modern vehicles for speed sensors.
I was asked years ago to post up some tech on how i swapped the bulbs out for LEDs but I never wrote anything up. Here it goes:
This is for VDO gauge lights but I have done basically the same thing for Auto Meter gauges. The way I have done it the bulbs can be converted back. I didn't damage any of the contacts in the assembly.
