Alternative Arm Rests

I have a 79 Wagoneer. Ideally, I'd like the 72-78 black arm rests with stainless trim, but they appear to be a mythical beast. I'm converting the upholstery from blue to black, and one of mine is broken anyway. I really don't like the 79+ arm rests. Anyone have any idea what else might fit? I know the bolt holes are 7-3/8", but not surprisingly, it's really hard to find dimensions of other vehicle's arm rests. Someone on here bought a 77 that has some cool looking ones, but he doesn't know what they're from. I like the 65 mustang ones, 60s C10 truck, etc. Any ideas?

When I had to fix my black arm rest 1975.. First take one apart 3 pieces. Back .middle . Front would be stainless strip .Backs are plastic and always broke so what I did was to find a amc car armrests from the same era that had plastic chrome backs any color all you need is backs . Now chrome backs on black door panels that's BLING .

I have a 79 Cherokee with no arm rests at all so I have been looking for the same thing. If you are re-upholstering the door panel anyway just cover up the original holes and find an arm rest you like and drill some new holes to mount it if the bolt spacing is not the same.
Mine were recently re-done by the PO but he put the holes in the factory spot and then lost all of the interior parts when he moved so when I bought it I got nothing. I may just buy some blank ABS panels from BJ's and start from scratch. I liked the C10 rests too I think.

I'm getting new door panels from BJs, but I'd like to use the stock mounts.

My other consideration was sculpted 2x4, backed with a 1x3 or 1x2, and stained to match the instrument panel, but wasn't sure how it would hold up with how I have to slam the driver door.
