Picked up this Cherokee with 2 spun bearings. I replaced the bearings but it still had a bad knock and no power.Image

Fits like a glove!Image
Since then i have made the trans mount and attached the np246. Everything is fitting like it was made for the Cherokee. Even the front driveshaft was the correct length!

I actually like the wiring and depinning the ecm. I should have my stand alone fuse block tomorrow and then i can solder the splices together and wiring will be basically done.

Got started on the exhaust and buttoned up almost all the wiring. Might try and start it next weekend.

As far as I know cats don't affect programming. But I am deleting the rear o2 sensors with hp tuners.
As a side note. I didn't give enough clearance to the front driveshaft so I'm going to have to address that. I only have 2 inches right now. Whoops.

Awesome stuff. Which kit are you going with? Mine took me a weekend basically. But that was a couple of 8-10 hour days. Lots of cutting of old bolts, cussing, cutting some more old seized bolts, more cussing, less skin, a 4x4 post and ratchet straps, cutting some more old bolts, and finally mounting balancing and installing tires.

I went with the rough country. I know it has mixed reviews but the price for the skyjacker is ridiculous and i refuse to pay 200 for shipping for rusty's. I figure it will be good enough till i upgrade shocks in a couple of years. It's gonna be a daily driver and not do much if any wheeling.

Thanks, I would have been farther along but i spent 2 days figuring out the push button np246 transfer case. Luckily Jake clued me in that i needed the actuator from the donor front axle. It's funny how well the 5.3 fits. I didn't even have to do anything to the yukon front driveshaft. Put in a conversion ujoint and was done. I cut and welded the rear driveshaft myself and didn't have to rebalance it. I think i got lucky!

3 inch lift and 33/12.5/r15 tires. My driveline angle from trans to driveshaft is not good so i thing i'll just go cv and call it good.
