Stuka wrote:Ok, just spent a whole lot of time digging through all the permissions and such. The only reason I can think of as to why you guys do not normally see the delete option is by default there is a time limit. When you post a topic, you have 15 minutes to delete it. If it goes past 15 minutes, only a moderator can delete it. This is there so that people can't go back after the fact and delete post that contributed in some way to a thread. I doubt I will change this setting.

Also, even if its within the 15 minute window, if somebody else makes a post after yours, or in a thread, it cannot be deleted.

So basically, you can only delete it if it is a new post that is less than 15 minutes old, and has no post after it.

Make sense? :)

Ya it's all I needed to know, thanks

So, what you're saying is.....

J/k. I like the settings. I sometimes want to delete old threads of mine because I feel they are worthless in information or the information they provide is duplicated more efficiently in a newer thread; thus meaning my older thread is just taking up space. Being that you own the space, it's right that you decide what to purge and what to keep. Thanks Stuka!
