I have had a lot of fun with Wagoneer. It was stock when I bought it. I haven't done anything major to it...yet. I am thinking of a coil suspension someday. I have some research to do first. Whats your thoughts on the coil suspension. I am new to the site but I am trying to learn. Thanks

That looks rowdy. Did you do the flairs yourself or are those pictures from when you bought it?

Coil suspension would be nice but what are your planned uses for the truck? A coil conversion will be expensive, there are no kits. Do you do your own fabrication?

Nice looking GW. I really like the Colorado red.

It only has a 4" spring lift so there is nothing special to see in the suspension. I did try to add more pics of a nice fall trail ride day.
I did the flares myself. It took a little time but I like that look. It was stock when I bought it. I fit the flares and did some welding so I had the pinch weld lip. I want to do a coil setup so it rides better and I need a project. I just trail ride with it and buzz around. I don't beat on it to hard...cant enjoy the trails when your doing 100. I have the tools that I think I will need to do the coils. Not to afraid to try that project. I haven't priced out what I will need yet. I am just getting around to the idea.

You can get a nice ride out of a SOA front and Shackle Flip rear and run stock leafs. Gives you around 6" lift.

What size are those tires? Stock axles? Lowered bump stops? Anything like that? Do they rub?

I really like the look of that. You filled the flares well!

35x14.50 15 . Dana 44's with 4:56 gears and a rear posi. If you really get it twisted it has touched a little but not bad. It does help that I cut about 3" of the fenders to fit the Bushwacker flares. It could sit another inch higher. I didn't change the bump stops

Do you know the part number for those bushwackers?

And which axles/ are they stock with wider wheels ?
I like how your setup looks, I've got wt front fenders and considered grafting rears to put Chevy axles under mine but I don't like how the wt fender arches look, and my nt fenders are all ready cut.

Sorry I dont know the part #. I put them on about six years ago. All I remember is that they fit the newer Cherokees. I am using the stock axles ( Dana 44) They are 12" wheels and I am not sure of the offset . It wasn't anything special.Sorry...not much help.

Well... I have been looking into the prices of coilovers....holy crap. My buddy just built a Wrangler of some kind. I get lost in all the different ones they make. All I know is that is is the longer of the 2 doors, fairly new. He bought King coilovers. $1000 EACH !!. I am NOT looking to spend that much. I need to start looking for used stuff. I was hoping to keep it around $2000 in parts. Does anyone think that is possible?

Anything is possible, you just need to dig deep.
When I wanted to do i.f.s. on my old ford I thought a mustang 2 ifs was my only option. But widening a stock m2 and offsetting the rack and changing springs was more work than I wanted so I started looking into new aftermarket swap specific, expensive! !!!!!
So I dug Depp into them internets, and I found out some old school types were using jaguar ifs.
Basically bolt in after welding up some front mounts.

Not quite the same as what you want to do, but I'm sure someone has done it.
Might even be a good thread with part #'s.

Bronco guys run 3 link with coil overs when doing away with ifs. Lots of parts available and plenty of builds to get ideas from. Check fullsizebronco

Yeah I've been eyeing this up myself and the way to go is swing arms with coil overs. Expensive but should be well worth it. Might be able to use the stock suspension from a FJ80 Land cruiser
