1977 Chief Question

Post by jeepinjake »

Did the Chief always come with a trailer hitch or was it an option?

My GUESS is that it was an option and not part of the standard Chief package.

The hitch was part of the Tow Package, which was available on all models. In certain markets such as the Reno area, the dealers would order their lot stock with popular options added. As far as the Chiefs, most were not special ordered and this option was chosen by the dealer.
