Is the Jeep trade still on?
There's a book but it's been hard to track down. I think Cabela's might have a copy. I'm going to try again on Friday. It's called 4x4 Routes of Western Montana, Barnes and Noble has a few copies online but I'd rather take a look at it before I take the plunge on $25. That's a pretty good chunk of change for me right now. Need to wait for my first payday to order it sight unseen.

As for the trade it's a pretty good maybe at this point. Waiting on pictures. But he's pretty confident it will meet my standards. I really don't want to get rid of the 90 but this thing being a running driving rust free Jeep would put me way ahead of where I was. And get me closer to in state tuition, in theory there wouldn't be any good reason to come back to Colorado for the summer besides Ouray. And if I work for all that time before Ouray I could probably apply for reclassification. Saving me around $12000 in tuition alone.

Why not look online for a used copy of the trails book? Or how about a second hand book store? College towns usually have a few of those and you may get lucky and find one dirt cheap??

You've been out of your parents house for 15 minutes. Get it together! :P

I'm just lucky my Mom is busy holding things together down in Colorado! Otherwise she'd probably already be up here! Don't get me wrong, I'd love for her to come visit. But I just left!

Be careful, heal quickly. Stick to jeeps. They are less dangerous.

Yeah I crashed my bicycle on my way to class this morning. Went to pull into a bike rack and either hit something or slipped, my front wheel went 90° and I layed the bike right down on my ankle.

A couple kids helped me up and locked up my bike for me, then the campus cops have me a ride to the health center. Got x-ray'd and there isn't a fracture. So they say it's a nasty contusion or I tore some ligaments. Either way I'll be out of commission for a little while. My mom's sending me a peg leg off Amazon so I can get to classes hopefully by Monday. I'm too top heavy and uncoordinated to gimp around on crutches. Took me an hour and fifteen minutes to go a quarter mile earlier.

And because you guys like pics... Image Image Image

I think if you put an air locker in there you should be fine!

I know though. I got blown off a wing by a jet and landed wrong and both ankles went out past 90 degrees. That is the worst. Try and do whatever the doc told you to do.

I feel for ya gabe. When in collage I did a nasty sprain to my ankle. Every step was mucho mucho painful. Walking between classes was brutal. A 10 minute walk turned into an hour pain march. Take good care of it and best wishes for getting better soon.

Sorry to see about the injury. I had a cat accident in the dining room the other morning and all the toes on my right foot got smashed, bruised and had a nice bleeder on the second toe. Shall we move this to General Chat now?

Yeah and just think off all the places I'll be able to go with that kind of traction! Wonder where I'll mount the compressor...

Last weekend I went to find a road I found on google maps just called Jeep Trail. I got almost to the road and found a gate! I swear they must be the state flower or something. So I decided to go rubber neck over by the Lolo Peak Fire instead. Went way up onto the mountain on a side road I think was called elk meadow. Wound up on the idaho side of the border and started seeing gates the fire fighters had left unlocked. Decided to go through on and see where I would end up. The road I chose ended on a real steep hillside overlooking a very pretty little valley.

The pictures don't do it justice. I need to get a real camera the one on this new phone sucks! The video does a little better job showing off the scenery but it still looks like crap.

The wagoneer trade deal is still in limbo, but it's still very much a possibility. I just don't know that I want to tow a wagoneer behind a wagoneer in january all the way to montana.
