I actually sold this last month to gentleman with anther FSJ dually. I hadn't had any time to do anything with mine so I decided to let it go.

Swapped in a reman 55amp Motorola alternator. NAPA has it listed for a 68 Jeep, but it's for an AMC. I had to swap the front case half with my alternator. The back half and internals are the same as a Jeep alternator. I also had to replace v tight gel a the wiring harness from the starter to the alternator. Looks like this once had a pretty severe over charging situation that melded the feed wire for the alternator.

The radio is in and fully working. I get two channels in my drive way.

I still need to do something about my fuel filler, toss something over the floors and put some wood down on the bed. It's getting plywood for now. I'll get some tongue and groove white pine later for it.

I remember seeing that when I was out there a while back. That truck is awesome. I wish I had known you were selling it. I would have been all over that thing

I got the two off. The 12 footer is resting on it's mk 2866 left side strapped to a come-along that is hooked to two chains hooked to tree's. Redneck engineering.

The 10 footer is a pile of 2" oak debris and scrap metal.

Cleaned off almost all of the random welded on stuff. I cut the remains of the dump bed off last weekend.

Got the bed on today. I had to buy new sill beams. I also replaced four of the cross members in the bed. Still waiting on four of my eight u-bolts and my wood spacers to be made. The bed is just sitting on the sill beams in these pics. checkout these phenq reviews I moved it over to the garage after and welded it all up. I need to redo the mounts for my rear cross member now and move it back toward the end of the bed. Also bolted the mud flaps on. If you look close you can see the RR is held on with a red c-clamp in the pics.

Then did some feel good, non necessity work and put a new antenna in and replaced the missing stock radio with a correct for 68 Jeep AM unit.

Just agreed to buy this 1968 J3000 dually. It's a factory 161" wheel base Buick 350/T18 rig.

Awesome to all who got this truck refurb started, sold, and bought. Anybkdy on here continuing the build?

Does the new owner start a new thread, or just continue the old thread, in these cases?
