Would anyone be offended if I sent an Email to JP magazine inviting them to attend? In the new issue they give instructions on how to contact them. And the new issue is a J Truck Builders Guide! Good info inside.
To get them to come/put it in the magazine they want some Hi resolution images from previous years. So if anyone could post those up with permission for them to be used in the magazine... That'd be great.
Hello! For those that have been on the trails, do I need a locker? I'm not wanting to turn my rig into a crawler, but I'd like to be able to handle black bear. If I don't put in a locker are there enough other trails around to fill my time? Thanks for the info/advice! (Also if there is another section for this, feel free to move this)

No need for lockers (okay, last dollar road after a rain I guess gets pretty muddy). Your 3" lift pretty much qualifies you to do all of the 'standard' trails. Hopefully you can make it!

If you go UP Poughkeepsie, a locker helps fight body damage. Going down without locker is OK.
Last Dollar: Just don't go there after rain. A locker in that gorilla snot just makes you go sideways when you want to go front ways. Bring your hookers if you go there after rain.
I have a video that I need to upload to youtube that I took while driving the honcho down blackbear. Lemme tell you, driving down blackbear in a big truck on 42's while holding the camera is a chore! The 1 ton disc brakes were not happy at all and were squealing the whole time down. Oh and that was in stage 2 low rage 4:1 with the atlas in rear only.
You may have a couple noobs join you this year. We saw you guys back in 2011 when we were up there on a HigherGround4x4 trip. Raced Ultra4 the last couple of years in a TJ then a customer 4500 class buggy and am now coming around to the FSJ. Picked up an 83 Wagoneer that I'm restoring (it'll be on the Lakebed at Hammers this year) and my buddy Bob picked up an 81 Cherokee. We're both based out of Arizona. Hope to make it this year with you guys!

This actually applies to anyone who is or thinks they are going and wants to stay at the KOA. The owners typically hold a group of tent sites for us but after Jan 1st, there are no guarantees you will get one of those sites. Be sure and tell them you are with the Full Size Jeep group. Not the FSJ or FJ group. There gets to be confusion on the term... Ouray KOA is a busy campground. Do reserve sooner than later. You can always cancel and get your money back later but not the day before the reservation starts.
Long time no see everyone! I just got of the phone with Deb, confirmed in 47B for Monday- Saturday. Plans are still tentative but we missed last year and this year will be our 10th anniversary! So hopefully we will make it back out to celebrate since we met many of you for the first time on our honeymoon and our first trip to the Invasion in 2006.
