95 pre-vortec ecu and wiring?

Post by husker77 »

I have a complete engine, tranny, transfer case and wiring from a 1995 1500 truck. All the stuff I read says up to 91, so will this work to put injection on my amc 360? I want to use the 4l60e tranny and make a low range box from the 241 transfer case then bolt a ford 205 onto it.

The numbers on the ecu tag are...

serv. no 16197427 BJYL

*86BJLK643181384*

16200345 BJYL

86BJYLK643181384

I want to be able to control the transmission and not need a stand alone controller. Will I be able to adjust any of the transmission parameters with programming. Would this work for a mpfi conversion? Would there be any gain over tbi?

And I am still searching the net for answers but thought I would ask here also.

Yes it will work just fine.
The 7427 is a PCM-powertrain control module that controls the TBI and the electronic trans.
I use it for TBI and MPFI. The info is also included in the FAQs on binderplanet just like the other TBI info.

Thanks, I did find some of the info I was looking for over there. I was having trouble verifying if it would run the tranny, I thought it would but wanted to be sure.
