Let me know if you need any more info & make sure you get the dimming bulbs for the dash & resistor bulbs for the turn signals.

Other than the flasher box did you need to wire in any resistors for any of the lights?

No I did not & will not add resistors. If you learn the market & work with superbrightleds.
Leds nowdays can be bought with resistors built in. For turn signals you don't need them the only place you need resistor leds which are sold are the turn singnal indicators in the dash. What is the magic. Go to any auto store of superbrightleds & buy an elctronic flasher, it doesn't require resistance to operate. Carefully chosen they will lawt foever & work perfectly. Stay away from the cheap chinese ones.

I do have to add though if you want the front side markers to work sequentaily then you have to use resistor bulbs in them I'm told. I didn't do that because I could care less about the side markers blinking.
Resistor bulbs & dimmer bulbs are available.

Pretty simple Brad I'm a big panel fan it was simple original & no one has one. Not likely to be copied. Retro resto mod was the goal with cruisablity the primary goal hook it up to the boat, Cruise the the burger joint (Kellers) On Saturday night. Mud hogger, Mall crawler & East Texas mud drag to running the fire breaks in the Sam houston National forest it done what I built it for. It may not be everyones cup of tea but it's mine.
It's exactly what I wanted. Most folks don't have a clue what it is.

Quick question on your seats. The link is broken so I can't see them at Jegs (they may no longer be up there).
1) Did you already have the bucket brackets or did you have to fab them or find them? I plan on converting my J4500 bench to buckets and I'm hungry for info.
I know nothing about Jeeps other than I love'em.

I used the factory brackets & drill the sliders to sit back farther. I would not recommend that if you are over 6 foot tall but they worked for me.

The link worked fine for me.

Did for me this time as well. Yesterday it was just redirecting to Jegs man page. I'm over 6ft. I'd heard I'd need the bucket brackets from a similar year FSJ to do the conversion. I'd also have to use the same seats. However, finding aftermarket seats to fit a 73 of any kind appears difficult. I keep thinking I'm just missing a key piece of info that'll help this make more sense. :|

I would assume that you could easily cut the brackets & shorten them. Simply weld them back together without much effort. the way they are buit would be easy to do. there's lot's of folks out there with seat brackets I'm sure they would sell. They are on Ebay all the time.

I know this is a dead thread... but...

Image

Whats with the doubled seat belts buckles on the passenger side?

And,

Image

What Tach is that and did you modify the steering column to mount it? Usually I see a band holding it on.

That is a Sunpro, band is most likely under the plastic cover.

Tach is Sunpro 2. It is attached with a slightly modified bracket to the screw hole where the plastic collar attaches to the dash. The collar is the plastic piece right behind the tach. Not a fan of column the column clamp. I simply cut the column clamp piece off & drilled some holes in it to do what I wanted to it.

I like that, it blends in much better.

I like the Rugged Ridge lock box, but for a J10 with Manual it would have to be pushed back significantly I would think to work. The fab work might be worth it though to keep the cup holders...
