Ignition Wiring 4.0 to GM?

Post by 66stepside »

As we wrap up the sheet metal work on the 62, I am hoping to wire the ignition up GM style before we pull the drivetrain. I have two questions about what to do with the 2 constant hot wires on the XJ.

They're labeled "fused b(+)"... So here they are (I screen shot them from the build page):

The two constant wires go to the bat power on the GM switch, though GM only used one. It was fused (fusible links) from GM.
1977 Cherokee S, Ford 5.0, 5 speed, BW 1356, 33 x 10.50 BFG's. No longer my DD.
2007 Mercury Milan, 2.3L, 5-speed, now my DD. 29 mpg average.

Thanks! That what it seemed like to me. The gauge difference between GM vs. XJ is very different, too. I plan on running both XJ wires off the column switch.
