1967 Gladiator headlight Switch Pin-out

Post by 90supra »

Does anyone know where or have a copy of the headlight switch pinout for the Gladiator? Trying to re-wire mine and am having trouble tracking down which wire needs to hook to which pin. I have a generic GM harness I'm using (came with the truck) and haven't had much luck comparing the stock harness and manual to figure what goes where :banghead: . Cheers

Look at the wiring diagrams here: http://oljeep.com/gw/elec/GW_wiring.html - the '72 dash diagram http://oljeep.com/gw/elec/72/72wire_dash.jpg shows a pretty good picture of the plug for the switch. It may be the same as your '67 though.

Otherwise, get out your meter and write out a big diagram of the swith. Then test all the connections and see what connects to what, at each switch position. Then compare that to the wiring diagram, and match the functions to the respective circuits.

That is what I figured. I suppose once I have the pin-out figured out I'll post it on here in case anyone else ends up needing it.

I hope this helps. Took a pic off google and labeled the pins directly from the diagram I have (would have taken a photo but camera is dead and cell phone isn't that fancy)
