Look what showed up in the driveway...

Post by nc wagoneer »

Well, my dads pieced together 6.9 idi f350 needs numerous repairs and its time to put it in the new garage and get things done right. So, we need something to tow the 16ft steel flatbed trailer for hauling our tractor, ATVs, and other stuff. My dad, like me, is a craigslist addict and this got posted past night. Now for 800 bucks and 20 for the guy to drive it out we have a 1984 GMC suburban sierra 4x4. It has a couple of small issues but nothing near as bad as the f350. We are the 3rd owners and the first owners were very similar to the owners of my past waggy. They lived in Florida and used this at their summer home till around 2008 and the second owner used it as a work truck just like we will. Even the Detroit time-bomb locker in the rear still works!!! And now for the part that will be good/bad depending on who you ask but it has a 6.2 diesel with 130,000 miles and a 700r4 with 30,000 miles on a rebuild. Now its time for pics.

only rust on the truck

No pics of the interior because it looks horrible but it does the job and gets around 20mpg doing it :-bd

Like a dream, pulled the 16 footer with a tractor and backhoe with it today which was +/-3000lbs and it was a little slow on the hills but fine otherwise. Needs the new rear brakes that came with it put on and a bit of fuel line replaced to run biodiesel but other than that its good as gold.

Sadly, no. Has a window as slow as a wagoneer's.
