lift shackles

Post by skunkape87 »

so in the past couple weeks ive read of quite a few people saying they used 1 1/2 inch to 2 inch lift shackles for the front. However all i seem to find made specifically for the fsj is 1 inch shackles. Anyone know where these 2 inch shackles are available. I was thinking maybe people were using xj rear lift shackles for the front but im not sure if they are the same size or not. any thoughts

Not my pics, but there is a reason why you don't see 2" lift shackles (which would be approx 4" longer than stock)...

I installed the 1" lift shackles from BJs several months ago. I like them but the extra radius makes the suspension flex a little differently. It took a little getting used to, but I changed a lot of suspension parts at the same time, so it probably isn't just the lift shackles that made it different. I definitely would not go with anything over 1".
