I'm looking at transfer case mounted E-brake kits for my NP205 and am wondering if anyone had any experience with either High Angle Driveline's kit or North West FabWorks' kit. I'm leaning toward the NW Fab kit but they sure are proud of it for $600

High angle doesn't advertise their's as a parking brake, but as a temp use cutting brake. It may work as a parking brake, but its not using a real caliper.
The NWF is using a wilwood parking brake caliper. The NWF is twice the price, but looks to be intended for use as a parking brake.
Personally I prefer wheel based parking brakes so that I am not relying on the drive shaft. And if using a drive shaft version like these, you basically have to have a spool in back. Otherwise one tire without good traction will let the vehicle roll.
Thanks, Stuka.
I have converted to rear disc brakes with no parking brake provision. I also have a rear Detroit and front E-locker so if locked and in 4x4 I should be good. I guess I'm not understanding what High Angle means by cutting brake. I thought cutting brakes were at the wheel so you could lock one wheel allowing the other to rotate in a dig.

Its used for buggies. You put the t-case in front wheel drive, set the rear brakes on, and use the throttle to rotate the vehicle. Typically used on buggies and such that don't have parking brakes on the wheels.

Right, a dig. I've always seen cutting brakes at the wheels. You lock the inside rear wheel so the outside rear wheel can rotate during the dig.

Yeah, but buggies don’t run e-brake cables down to their wheels, and you can’t lock just one with a spool anyway. So these t-case mounted ones work well.
Gotcha. The cutting brakes I've seen at the wheel are hydraulic and the rigs have selectable lockers. I'm also trying to avoid cables at the wheels. That and the El Dorado calipers so I have GM metric front calipers at the rear.

I have a dodge HD NP 205 In my 1982 Cherokee that has a factory drum brake on the T case . The Dodge hd tcase has 32 spline front and rear outputs . Very good choice if it is a large bearing case ..
