Thread e-mails

Post by jaber »

One thing I see as getting worst as the membership grows is the subscribed e-mail notices. I had 8 notices for the "mothership issues" thread. As this place grows, that could potential flood some of our in boxes. If the e-mails quoted what was posted, it would not be as bad, but I think I only need to be told once that there are new posts.

Not wanting to be a pain, just something that seems like it could get out of hand...

Thank you, sir, you are doing AWESOME work here.... :-bd

This is the way most forums work. I think there are some that can send a digest version which they group a bunch of notification into one email. But I do not see that functionality here.

Set your email to have a folder for emails from here. Arrange them by subject and delete all duplicates

I just set the forum preferences not to send me email...I'll find out if someone has responded to a thread when I come and visit the next time around.

You can also click the pull down tab top right and select "new posts". If there is more than one page, open them in new tabs and go through them one at a time.

no no. Open the PAGES as separate tabs, then go through the pages one at a time and open just the threads you're interested in or you can open them all one at a time.
