Who uses what for brakes the waggy squeals till I go fast or hit the brakes any recommendations for pads I was thinking of doing all new hardware and ebc 6k pads till I go with the wilwood calipers
My truck doesn't get driven more than maybe a couple thousand miles per year and I haven't had to do brakes on it in quite some time. Last time, I used whatever AutoZone had on the shelf as a stock replacement shoe (I have drums front and rear) and they've been fine.
Sounds like your pads need some of that brake-quiet goo between the back of the pad and the caliper...or maybe something is lodged between a pad and the rotor.
73 J4000. 360, MC 2100, T18A, D20, stock closed knuckle Dana 44 front, 60-2 rear. Warn Lock-O-Matics, Warn/Belleview electric winch, true duals with glasspacks, old-school front diff skid plate, used 265 Toyos on 16" AR wheels.
I figured as much with the pads but if I'm pulling it apart seeing how it's new to me I'd rather almost redo it all a squeak till I brake or a low speed makes me crazy
X2 on whatever Wagner brand brake pad the local McParts store has in stock. These are not high performance machines. No need for ceramic pads or slotted rotors.
Regular semi-metallic pads and regular rotors should do you fine.
