I'm gearing up (lol) to do a rebuild on my 727. I have found the rebuild kit I want to use from Bulkpart but I cannot seem to find a torque converter. Where have you guys sourced them from in the past? What stall did you use?

I have used Deco converters here in Orlando/Tampa and the OEM stall is approximately 1300. However, I think a 1800 stall Saturday Night Special would be better for performance and towing. Exspecially with bigger tires.
They are pretty much available everywhere so that's weird you can't find one (you can get one at Amazon or O'rielly's for example). I used a TCI Saturday night special on a build 12 years ago before I knew any better, and I don't recommend it. You're way better off setting up higher gearing in your axles if you want more RPM, unless your goal is to burn rubber between stop lights on Saturday night (why it's named that). Just driving around it made a lot of heat visible in the color of the fluid. I still put a TCI in my dad's wag, but I used their stock replacement. Sorry I don't have the part number anymore.

3/4 resto, rotting faster than I've been fixing it.
I have two in-the-box reman's on the shelf if you cant find one. I'll sell it for $99 not to include S&H. I was selling reman' transmissions for a while but decided the wrisk was too high. I never had one come back though--thank God

What manufacturer are they? And could you grab a shipping quote for 82716?

Its a Decco remanufactured unit. Your in WY. So, I expect S&H to be approx $40. For $140 you could probly find one locally for the same price. Let me know.
