I know many of you here know Phil & Sue through prior Ouray FSJ Invasions. Krista heard from Sue and she asked us to reach out to Phil's FSJ friends. They used to live in Grand Junction but have been in AZ for a few years now.
This is Sue. Just wanted to let you guys know Phil had a heart attack on Tuesday and they did a triple bypass on Wed. So far he is doing okay. Keep your fingers crossed. He is in the Deer Valley Hospital right now and is in the critical care unit.
Phil and Sue are great folks and could use your support in thoughts and prayers. I just heard about this and will report back as I know more.
Thanks for letting us all updated Flint! I only know Phil and Sue from Ouray, with their big RV and tiny dogs, but I'll be pulling for him! Like you said, they are great folks!

Got to see him today. He is awake and being his normal self, they got him up and walking 2 times so far and will again 2 more times throughout the day. He is still kinda out from the pain killers but he is doing really well. Hopefully moved out of critical care in a few days. We left for the day so he can rest a bit and mom is wore out and needed to rest a bit too.
Thanks to Sean for alerting me to this.
Phil and Sue are great folks, when I was between jobs on Grand Junction and living in the back of my pick up at the Union hall, they demanded that I move into their RV in their back yard till such time I was back to work. Phil is the one who found the Great Pumpkin for me, and then spent a weekend helping me get it ready to live in. They were also the ones who helped us get back to Ouray when Crom's bull gear broke on engineer's pass. I don't call many friend but they are!
Phil let me take their Grand Cherokee into Montrose half a dozen times when I chewed up my front spindle from a faulty wheel bearing.
I was able to salvage a vacation and get home with their help.
Prayers on the way!!!
More from Sue:
Phil had a heart attack last Tuesday so went to hospital via 911. Then had another heart attack wed. a m so he had open heart surgery which was a triple bypass. Yesterday they finally got his blood pressure stable so he gets to come home today. Yeah
For all the well wishers and prayers thank you Phil is coming home today. It will be the the start of a new style of life but for now I'm just happy he's alive.

I am a little late on this. Phil went back in hospital on Saturday with fluid build up in his lungs so he needed some medical help. Sue hopes he can come home today. We all hope he can come home today. Hang in there Phil!

Been following on fb. Hope he is back out and on the mend. Scary stuff. Many good memories with Phil and Sue and their sons too. Miss seeing them in Ouray, just not the same without them!
