need picture of sway bar

Post by sonoraed »

my 79 J10 didn't come with a sway bar, I have one but don't know what year it's for, BJ's has the frame mounts and link for an 8" lift but not sure how the lower links are connected, could use a picture if you have one

Dunno about the trucks but the Wags had the mount on the side of the spring plate.

The SJs used a lower spring plate with a tapered post for the swaybar link to mount to.
The upper mount was a W shaped bracket welded to the frame.

In this application they are upside down and swapped left for right.

Hi Stuka, that would be great if you could,Thanks Tat and SJTD I was thinking the upper u shaped bracket was directly mount to frame but I think your telling me there was a bracket welded to frame with threaded holes for the upper sway bar bracket, and my spring plates don't have a hole for lower sway bar link guess I'll have to find some plates
